Visitors to PATS Sandown 2012 will find more than 140 exhibitors filling two directly linked halls. The show expanded from Surrey Hall into Esher Hall last year to meet the demand for space from an increasing number of exhibitors. And this year, PATS Sandown will have two entrances, one into each hall. Both entrances will be fully serviced for registration and collection of free show catalogues.

New export business introduction services

To help exporters wishing to undertake initial research into an overseas market, or explore its potential before exhibiting at a trade show there, we have launched two low cost services to help you achieve your goals.

The Group Visit Service offers exporters the opportunity to travel to an overseas market as part of an accompanied group of like-minded exporters, led by one of PetQuip’s experienced research team. Participants can benefit from a package of services including market information, introductions to key distributors, details of trade press contacts, advice about hotels, travel options, interpreters, visa procedure and so on. In 2012 we are offering this service at Pet Fair Asia, taking place in Shanghai from 11 to 14 October.

Our Explore the Market Service is designed for exporters who are unable to visit a market or a trade event themselves. Our experienced team will visit on your behalf and make initial approaches to important buyers and influential contacts to gather customised information about the market for you. We will present your sales material to major potential distributors, provide an assessment of the event and a post-show briefing about possible routes to market.

PetEx, Dublin

PetEx is to be staged in Dublin’s Burlington Hotel in early September. Ireland’s only trade exhibition solely for pets and aquatics will showcase the latest pet care products on the market and offer exclusive money-saving deals to attract visitors to the show.

The organisers have reduced the cost of the stand packages for this year’s event. Taken in conjunction with the 12.5 per cent discount extended by the organisers to members of PetQuip, that makes PetEx 2012 an attractive proposition for suppliers on a limited budget looking to sell into the Irish market.

Pet Fair Asia, Shanghai

Pet Fair Asia 2011 attracted more than 40,000 visitors from 23 countries, including 11,000 professional visitors, as well as visiting groups from Northern Europe, India, Japan, Korea and Hong Kong. Of the 500 exhibitors who took part in last year’s fair, almost a quarter were from abroad.

Our reconnaissance visit to Pet Fair Asia 2011 produced some interesting sales leads for PetQuip members and providing there’s sufficient support, we plan to run a Group Visit Service at this year’s fair, including a catalogue showcase, meetings with potential distributors, and a tour of retail outlets in Shanghai.
